Psalm 51 is a recent filmwork shot by Kris Barberg of Montage Productions. Psalm 51 is a short experimental film combining elements of improvisational dance and cinematic composition. Based on the Biblical passage, Psalm 51 is the filmmaker’s own interpretation of spiritual darkness and light. The themes of emptiness, despair and forgivenss are explored as the film’s subject dances to a percussive soundtrack, and the landscape of the soul is translated into imagery and movement.
